Sorry, Brian, but (I had to look it up in the dictionary) «swamped» as «flooded»? Why? Did it rain a lot over there? I heard nothing about that in the news...

Ric, "swamped" is colloquial English (at least in the US) for "excessively busy."
I actually don't think I've ever heard it used as a synonym for "flooded." Of course "swamp" as a noun has its own meaning.
Anyway, Brian, sorry you're feeling swamped.
