Ida Ruben is running for Maryland state senator in my little town. This is the actual photo that is posted throughout my 'hood on all of her campaign signs:

She sure is purty. That bun on her head makes me hungry. It's like a big cinna-bon up there.

Oh my god I LOVE THIS PICTURE.
It makes me want to write a short story about her.

Hate to rain on the parade guys, but that "bun" is her attempt at eccentricity - like Tony Williams' bowtie. These things are meant to make them seem more human, but Ida Ruben is "the man" -- and not in the good way. She's a machine politician running against a progressive (see raskin06.com) - but I guess the bun is pretty hot!
